Moving to Como Park
A 'newer' city neighborhood, Como Park is the place for people who want the serenity of the suburbs without the drive. Como Park's borders are the city limits on the north, Snelling Avenue on the west, Dale Street on the east and the railroad tracks on the south. The neighborhood surrounds a huge regional park that includes Como Zoo, Como Town (a small midway), picnic grounds, ballfields, a public golf course, and a Victorian Conservatory with Japanese gardens in addition to the beautiful Lake Como with its classic Pavillion housing a great coffee house. The Como Park real estate west and south areas of the lake are home to the 1915 to 1935 houses, while the east side of the Lake was developed during the postwar years into the 1950's. A true suburb in the city!

| Como Park real estate west side of the park is the older section of the neighborhood filled primarily with 1930's Tudors and 1910-1920's Craftsman homes. On this side, you are also close to a great neighborhood coffee shop you won't want to miss. The Minnesota State Fair grounds border Como Park on its western edge as well. Imagine yourself walking to the "Great Minnesota Get Together!" East of the lake are the 1940's postwar bungalows on neat and tidy tree-lines streets. Here you will be closer to the conveniences of the suburb of Roseville - with Caribou Coffee, Dairy Queen, and Key's Cafe within walking distance. |
