Highland Park Real Estate

The Highland Park neighborhood is located east of the Mississippi River at the Ford Bridge. It makes up the southwestern portion of St. Paul, and is also a highly coveted neighborhood in terms of popularity. Its borders include: Randolph Avenue on the north, the Mississippi River on the west, West 7th Street/Highway 5 on the south and Interstate 35E on the east.

Highland Park residents love their Highland Village. Favorites include the Highland Theater, Punch Pizza, Patina, Lund's grocery store, Highland Grill, Barnes and Noble, and countless other restaurants, coffee shops and specialty stores throughout the neighborhood. The Mississippi River Boulevard's walking paths and bike trails are destination points for all of the area walkers and joggers. Academic institutions include The College of St. Catherine's. Private schools include St. Paul Academy and Cretin-Durham Hall. Highland Park Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools are among the neighborhood public schools.

The housing stock is comprised primarily of 1930's Tudors, 1940's Cape Cods, and 1950's ramblers. The lovely Highland parkway boasts the larger Tudors, brick two-stories and Colonial-style homes. Housing prices continue to appreciate here, and many first-time homebuyers have difficulty getting into this market.
