Como Park Real Estate

A 'newer' city neighborhood, Como Park is the place for people who want the serenity of the suburbs without the drive. Como Park's borders are the city limits on the north, Snelling Avenue on the west, Dale Street on the east and the railroad tracks on the south. The neighborhood surrounds a huge regional park that includes Como Zoo, Como Town (a small midway), picnic grounds, a pool, ballfields, a public golf course, and a Victorian Conservatory with Japanese gardens in addition to the beautiful Lake Como with its new Pavillion. The west and south areas of the lake are home to the 1915 to 1935 houses, while the east side of the Lake was developed during the postwar years into the 1950's. A true suburb in the city!

The west side of Como (closest to the Minnesota State Fair) is the older section of the neighborhood filled primarily with 1930's Tudors and 1910-1920's Craftsman homes. East of the lake are the 1940's postwar bungalows on neat and tidy tree-lines streets. The Minnesota State Fair grounds border Como Park on its western edge. Imagine yourself walking to the "Great Minnesota Get Together!"
